PRODUCT DETAILS
Scandinavian White Washi Paper Oval Pendant Light
Bring a soft, sculptural glow to your interior with the Scandinavian White Washi Paper Oval Pendant Light. This handcrafted fixture celebrates the beauty of natural materials and minimalist form, blending Japanese paper-making tradition with Nordic design sensibilities. Each shade begins with washi paper made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree, stretched over bamboo ribbing on sculptural molded wood forms. The paper is cut into strips and glued onto both sides of the framework; once dried, the internal wooden form is removed, leaving a resilient, lightweight oval form that can be collapsed and packed flat for shipping. The crisp white mulberry paper diffuses light into a warm, even ambiance, while the metal frame provides structural integrity and a clean silhouette. Designed for versatility, this pendant is sloped-ceiling compatible and dimmable with compatible bulbs, allowing you to tailor the atmosphere from bright task lighting to a gentle evening glow. Available in three sizes to suit a range of spaces, it is an ideal choice for dining rooms, living rooms, and modern Nordic or wabi-sabi interiors.
