The inspiration for this lighting design draws from traditional Japanese fishing lanterns. These lanterns, historically used to attract fish, feature ribs made of bamboo covered with fine paper. This floor lamp design reinterprets these traditional lanterns, crafting a light sculpture from wood and paper. Mulberry tree paper is utilized for its ability to soften light, creating a gentle and evenly diffused illumination.
