Handcrafted Oval Pendant Light
A sculptural pendant that blends traditional Japanese washi paper with contemporary design, creating a warm, diffused glow for refined interiors.
Design Story
Each pendant is meticulously handcrafted, starting with the creation of washi paper from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. Bamboo ribbing is stretched across sculptural molded wood forms, and strips of washi paper are carefully glued onto both sides. Once the shape is set, the internal form is removed, leaving a resilient paper form that can be collapsed for flat shipping.
